Pane Launcher Privacy Policy
This policy covers Pane Launcher – OS 27 Glass ("Pane"), the Android home screen app published by Matrex Softwares on Google Play. It explains what information Pane handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.
In short: Pane shows no ads and does not use your advertising ID. Your apps, layout, photos, calendar and hidden-app list stay on your phone. Pane sends a small amount of usage data to Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, and purchase records to RevenueCat so Pro works. Matrex Softwares does not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Information that stays on your phone
- Installed apps and your layout. Pane reads the list of launchable apps on your phone to show them on your home screen, in the App Library and in search. Your pages, folders, dock, widgets and settings are stored on your phone only.
- Calendar. If you add the Calendar widget and allow calendar access, Pane reads your upcoming events on your phone to display them. Calendar data never leaves your phone.
- Photos. Wallpapers and the Photo widget use only the pictures you pick with the system photo picker. Pane keeps its own copy on your phone and does not upload it.
- Hidden apps. The list of apps you hide is stored on your phone. Opening it uses your phone's fingerprint, face or screen lock through Android; Pane never sees your biometric data.
- Backups. Backup and restore writes your layout and settings to a file in a location you choose. Pane does not upload it anywhere.
- Share my setup. When you tap it, Pane takes a screenshot of your home screen and hands it to the Android share sheet. It is sent only where you choose to share it.

Each of these services handles data under its own privacy policy: Google, RevenueCat and MET Norway.
What Pane does not do
- Pane contains no ads and no ad SDKs, and does not collect your advertising ID.
- Pane does not sell personal information or share it with data brokers or advertisers.
- Pane does not read your notifications, messages, contacts or files.
- Pane does not require an account.
Your choices
- Permissions. Calendar and location are asked for only when you use the widgets that need them, and you can turn them off at any time in your phone's Settings → Apps → Pane → Permissions.
- Deleting your data. Uninstalling Pane, or clearing its storage in Settings, removes everything Pane stored on your phone. To ask for analytics or purchase data linked to your app instance to be deleted, email us at the address below.
- Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
Data retention and security
Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically. Purchase records are kept for as long as needed to provide Pro and to meet legal and accounting requirements. Data sent off your phone is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
Children
Pane is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through Pane, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or on the Google Play listing.
